Drive your coding agents from anywhere.
Agent Driver runs your agents on your Mac, your Linux servers and in the cloud, and puts all of them in your pocket. Start one, steer it, approve it, from wherever you are.
Apple silicon · macOS 11 or later
What it does
Every agent, every machine, one place.
Agent Driver runs the agent CLIs you already use, as you. It keeps them going on the computers they belong on and lets you follow along from anywhere.
Your agents, your CLIs
Claude Code and Codex run as you, signed in with your own accounts. No new agent to learn: it's the one you already trust.
Mac, servers and cloud
Add a Linux server over SSH and it keeps your agents running while your Mac sleeps. Cloud agents wake up when there's work and sleep when there isn't.
In your pocket
Every agent on every computer, on your phone. Answer permission prompts, read the terminal, and swipe to reply to a message.
Talk to them
Voice in the iPhone app: say what you want on a walk and let your agents get on with it.
Agents that work together
Agents can message each other and start new agents on your other computers, so one can hand work to the right machine.
End-to-end encrypted
Your agent chat and terminal traffic between your devices is end-to-end encrypted. Sign in with GitHub or Google; passkeys work too.
Coming soon: chat groups synced across Mac and phone, creating folders from the Mac app, and in-app update notices.
Set it up
Five minutes from download to your first agent.
Install the Mac app, sign in, and add the servers you want your agents on.
Install
Open the downloaded file and drag Agent Driver into Applications.
Open it
Open Agent Driver from Applications. macOS checks it once and opens it.
Agent Driver asks first, then your browser opens to sign in. That account is your Agent Driver account: your Mac, your servers and your phone all sign in as you.
Any GitHub or Google account can sign in.
Add your servers
In the sidebar, Machines → +, and give it an SSH host (an alias from
~/.ssh/config, oruser@host). It needs SSH key login from this Mac, and the host key accepted once (ssh hostin Terminal). Agent Driver sets the server up by itself, keeps your agents running there while your Mac sleeps, and the server joins your account.Your agents
Agent Driver runs the agent CLIs you already use, such as Claude Code and Codex. Install them and sign in once, on the Mac and on each server.
Your phone
Open it on your phone and your computers are already there.
Open Agent Driver on your phone and sign in with the same account: your Mac and servers appear by themselves. Add it to your home screen to use it like an app. An iPhone app is in beta on TestFlight.
Open Agent DriverScan the code with your phone's camera.
Linux servers
A server, without the Mac.
The Mac app sets up the servers you add to it by itself. For a server you want on your phone without a Mac, install the server tools with one line:
curl -fsSL https://nishnik.com/somelier/install.sh | sh
The installer checks the hash of everything it downloads, leaves tools and agents that are already there alone, and starts nothing. It ends by printing the command to sign in: run it, open the sign-in link it prints on any device, and the server joins your account. The server only connects out; nothing listens on it. Linux on x86_64 or aarch64 with glibc 2.31 or newer (Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+).
Questions
Good to know.
Which agents does it work with?
Claude Code and Codex. Agent Driver runs their CLIs as you, so they use your own accounts, settings and plans. Install each one and sign in once on every computer you want it on.
What's encrypted, and what isn't?
Your agent chat and terminal traffic between devices is end-to-end encrypted. Optional voice calls process audio and selected chat context through Agent Driver's servers and OpenAI. The service also serves the web app and introduces new phones to your account, so it has to be trusted; the iPhone app doesn't load code from it.
Do my agents stop when my Mac sleeps?
Agents on your Linux servers and in the cloud keep running. Agents on the Mac itself run while the Mac is awake.
Do I need a Mac?
No. Install the server tools on a Linux server, sign in, and use it from your phone. The Mac app makes adding servers and working at your desk easier.
How do I sign in?
With any GitHub or Google account, and passkeys work. The same account signs in on your Mac, your servers and your phone.
